Project Z300 EV is what happens when a lockdown project gets out of hand. It started with work, and was encouraged by my daughters, the eldest one of whom became a very active partner in its development.
The loose plan was to build an electric drive train that could be dropped into a small, cheap but (relatively) modern sportscar. And then to do a body conversion to give it some retro style. After 15 months of work we had a driveable, road-legal electric vehicle. But there’s still a very long way to go: lots of mechanical upgrades to do and we haven’t even started on the cosmetics.
